◎ The Department of Internal Medicine has 11 divisions and four therapeutic rooms.
◎ We are part of university—National Cheng Kung University, therefore, all of our staffs contribute significant amount of time to research and teaching, in addition to clinical service. We accept interns and visiting clerks from the other schools, including foreign students. Our colleagues have established close connections with national and international academic societies. We all expect our department develop an ideal environment for students to learn medicine and is the best place for patients to treat their diseases.
◎ Our Department has 11 divisions, including all the adults’ diseases; the divisions are Cardiology, Chest Medicine, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Hemato-oncology, Rheumatology and Immunology, Endocrinology and Metabolism, Infection, Geriatrics, Critical care medicine and General medicine. We have 79 staffs (full-time attending physicians), 61 in training residents (R1 to R5), and 47 part-time attending physicians. Besides the residents, we have 19 interns (3 months, 4 shifts per year), 12 junior (6 weeks, 6 shifts per year) and 12 senior clerks (6 weeks, 6 shifts per year) participate our medical teams. They are medical students equal to PGY 1, the third and forth year’s students in the U. S. system.
